Patient and staff safety have always been a priority for our dentist in The Woodlands. As an oral health specialist, we’re taking extra precautions to ensure the highest level of infection control and safety during every procedure.

Although infection control has always been one of our top concerns, our Conroe/ The Woodlands dentist offices are taking additional steps to minimize aerosols throughout clinical rooms and the rest of the building, whether you’re here for an appointment or just sitting in the reception area.

Triple Air Purification

It’s no secret that COVID-19 is passed through aerosols that can stay suspended within the air for minutes, if not hours, after talking, sneezing, or coughing. So naturally, removing aerosols is an effective way to sanitize rooms between guests.

One of the ways our dentist in The Woodlands and Conroe is doing this, is by installing three separate types of air purification systems, similar to what you would read about in a hospital setting. The negative pressure created by the air purification equipment essentially vacuums particles out of the air into a medical grade filtration system. That way there is little to no risk of pathogens staying suspended within the air around the patient or our staff.

Although one system is adequate, our combination of multiple air purification systems allows for the most effective air sanitization throughout the office.

Advanced PPE Protection

Although our practice has always utilized medical and surgical grade personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves, we’ve invested in additional resources like surgical gowns and N95 masks to prohibit person-to-person transfer. You’ll even see our front desk and patient care coordinators wearing surgical masks, to reduce the opportunity for viral particles to spread.

Each of our staff have their temperature taken, ensuring that we are free of symptoms before opening our office. Daily screenings are just one way we’re helping to flatten the curve. The state has also set into effect extra recommendations, such as changing out of scrubs and shoes when coming to and from the office.

When You Arrive

Instead of checking in at our front desk, your car is the new waiting room! Contact our office to let us know when you’ve arrived, and we’ll come to get you as soon as we’re ready. This simple step helps with social distancing and prevents you from having to interact with other third parties.

You’ll notice that we’ve removed “touchable” items from our reception area, such as magazines, pamphlets, and unnecessary decorations. That way we can efficiently sanitize surfaces such as doorknobs, armrests, and countertops.

Arriving on time allows us to ensure that our modified social distancing schedule best complies with the recommended health standards. If for any reason you are running late, please call to reschedule.
