RDA, Lead Surgical & Dental Assistant

Roxee is an RDA and our lead surgical assistant. She has been in the dental field for 27 years and joined Perio Center of Excellence in 2013. Roxee enjoys assisting our doctors in innovative techniques that they have learned in their various continuing education. She also loves getting to know every patient and has a gift of making them feel comfortable during their treatment.

She is originally from Arizona and has lived in Texas for 15 years. In her free time, she enjoys cycling and spending time with her family and friends.

Office Manager & HR Director

Katie is delighted to represent Perio Center of Excellence as Office Manager and HR Director. She is originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, but has lived in Houston for 32 years. Prior to her position with Perio Center of Excellence, she worked for four years in General Dentistry, and recently transitioned to Periodontal and Oral Surgery. Assisting patients and encouraging her team in excellent patient care is rewarding and important to a successful dental practice. Her years of experience in management has provided her with the knowledge and tools to manage a successful office and business atmosphere. Prior to her transition into the dental field, she worked for seven years in the medical area with cancer patients in Oncology and Hematology. Now, she finds joy in seeing our patients leave our office with a beautiful and confident smile! She is honored to lead a talented and hardworking team, who work with our patients, as they make them feel they are the most important person in the world! And they are!

In her private life, she enjoys walking her Pointer, Bub, at the park, spending time and boating on the lake with her family, as well as painting and singing karaoke.

Financial Coordinator

Cynthia was born and raised in Warden, Washington and has recently made a big move to Houston to be able to spend more time with her family. We are excited to have her as one of our front office coordinators as she is a wonderful addition to our team. She started her career 13yrs ago as a dental assistant in General Dentistry but wanted to make a change to expand her knowledge in the clerical aspect of Specialty Dentistry. She excels in greeting our patients with a cheerful spirit and sharing her beautiful smile the minute each patient walks through the door. In her free time, she takes pride in being an aunt to 5 incredible boys. On her days off, you can find her spending time with family, listening to music or exploring the city with friends.

Marketing & Education Coordinator

Kiersten brings a background in marketing, communications, and healthcare—with a true passion for connecting with people. After earning a degree in medical microbiology and working in patient-focused roles, she discovered her love for outreach, education, and creative marketing.

She now combines that experience to help the Periodontal Center of Excellence grow through authentic relationships and engaging content. Whether it’s promoting oral health, planning events, or building community partnerships, Kiersten is excited to support patients and the practice with heart and purpose.

Originally from the east coast and new to the Houston area, Kiersten enjoys spending time with family and friends & playing with her dog Whiskey.

RDA, Sleep Apnea Assistant

Alyssa has worked as a dental assistant for the past five years and is excited to now be focusing on sleep apnea and TMJ treatment. As someone who personally lives with sleep apnea, she knows first-hand how life changing our oral appliance is. Outside of work, she loves going to concerts, spending time outdoors and DJing. She also enjoys traveling and hanging out with her family and of course her dog Charlie.

Front Desk Coordinator

Kayla has been working in customer service since 2011 and brings a warm, welcoming presence to our front desk. As our Front Desk Coordinator, she takes pride in her kindness and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Growing up in Magnolia, Texas, she values the close-knit, community feel she helps foster in the office every day. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family.

Surgical Assistant

Natalya was born in Miami, FL, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences, strengthening her foundation in science and patient care. Now based in Texas, she serves as a registered dental assistant while pursuing her goal of becoming a dentist. Fluent in English and Spanish, Natalya values clear communication and strives to create a comfortable experience for every patient. Outside the office, she enjoys Pilates, traveling, reading, and spending time with her dog.

Surgical Assistant

Maria has been a dental assistant for over 20 years. Originally from Mexico, she attended Houston Dental Assistant School and spent two decades working in general dentistry before transitioning into surgical dentistry. This experience has expanded her clinical expertise while maintaining her compassionate approach to patient care. Outside of the office, Maria enjoys spending time with her daughters.

Cahra is a skilled periodontal surgical assistant dedicated to patient care and clinical precision. She assists in complex procedures while ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment. Passionate about creating positive dental experiences, Cahra takes pride in supporting both her team and patients every step of the way. Outside of work, she enjoys music, cooking, and spending time with her dog, Pimpin — her favorite sidekick.
