Dr. Ali Sajadi grew up right here in Houston, TX. After high school, he moved to St. Louis, MO to attend college at Washington University in St. Louis. There, he attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and in Economics. After completing two years of biomedical research.

Dr. Sajadi embarked on a professional career in medical management that led him to attain his Master of Arts in Medical Sciences Degree from Loyola University of Chicago. After successfully completing his degree in the top 10 of his class, Dr. Sajadi moved to Indiana where he took on a position as Senior Network Account Manager with UnitedHealthcare. Following his passion to help people, Dr. Sajadi completed a 4 year doctorate degree at Indiana University School of dentistry.

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Sajadi moved back to Houston to complete his residency in Periodontics and Dental Hygiene. There, Dr. Sajadi continues to improve on his skill set by being proficient in all implant and dental surgical modalities with a passion for the rehabilitation and regeneration of periodontal and osseous tissues.

Dr. Sajadi is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontics, Texas Society of Periodontists, Greater Houston Dental Society, Greater Houston Periodontal Society, American Dental Association and the Southwest Society for Periodontists. His training and background makes him highly qualified to treat extensive and complex surgical cases.

In his free time, Dr. Sajadi loves to cycle, hunt, fish, cook and read. He serves as the founding member and president of the UTH Periodontics Alumni Association and currently serves as the president of the Greater Houston Society of Periodontists.

Dr. Popi Stylianou is from Nicosia, Cyprus. Upon graduating first in her class from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki School of Dentistry, in Greece, she worked in private practice as a general dentist for two years. Subsequently, Dr. Stylianou obtained her Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science degree from the University of Minnesota. In addition, she completed a one-year fellowship on complex implant restorations and full-mouth rehabilitation at the University of Minnesota's Implant and Contemporary Dentistry Center. She enjoys educating at the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry as an Associate Professor. Dr. Stylianou goes above and beyond by providing her patients with the utmost care by thoroughly emphasizing the importance of dental hygiene. In her free time, Dr. Stylianou likes to spend time outdoors with her family.

Dr. Kelly LeBlanc has practiced patient-centered dentistry in the Houston area for more than three decades. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. His passion for treating sleep disordered breathing started over 15 years ago when he discovered he suffered from snoring and sleep apnea. This led him to engineer a totally different concept in oral appliance design called the SlideTM, a newly FDA cleared oral appliance. It is the first attached bilateral interlocking device that is FDA cleared in the United States. Dr. LeBlanc's goal was to simplify adjusting an oral sleep apnea device while providing maximum patient comfort. This unique design has the two rail and groove components directly over the occlusal plane of the teeth and away from all the soft tissue of the mouth. Happily married with two daughters, Dr. LeBlanc is an active member of his church and enjoys spending time golfing.

Dr. LeBlanc has been in practice for more than 30 years, during which time he has cultivated the knowledge and abilities necessary to deliver consistent, stunning results to his many patients. His list of satisfied patients is far-reaching thanks to his sincerity and all the extra touches his office provides to make each visit comfortable and relaxing.

Board Certified Periodontist & Dental Implant Specialist

Dr. Ernest Erian was born in Cairo, Egypt, and began his dental career at the Modern Science and Arts University, where he earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Driven by a passion for advanced periodontal care, he pursued a prestigious fellowship in periodontics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a comprehensive three-year residency and a master’s degree in periodontics from the same institution.

After several years of clinical practice, Dr. Erian sought to deepen his expertise in full-mouth implant rehabilitation. He completed an advanced fellowship in implant prosthodontics at Louisiana State University, further enhancing his skills in managing complex restorative cases. In 2023, he completed a one-year residency in dental sleep medicine at the University of Michigan, expanding his ability to treat patients with sleep-related breathing disorders.

Dr. Erian now practices full-time in Houston, Texas, where he focuses exclusively on periodontal surgery and dental implant therapy. He is a board-certified periodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Texas Dental Association.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Erian has contributed to multiple research publications in leading medical journals, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field and delivering evidence-based care.

RDH, Periodontal Treatment Coordinator, Hygiene Supervisor, Surgical Hygienist

Jan received her Dental Hygiene License and Associate in Applied Science Degree at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, TX. In 1976 she and her husband moved to the area, where they raised two sons. In 1987 she joined the Periodontal Center of Excellence team. As the Periodontal Treatment Coordinator, Jan enjoys being involved in every facet of patient care, from new patient visits to periodontal therapy and maintenance. Jan has expanded her skill set from soley doing clinical hygiene in the past 35 years at Perio Center of Excellence. She is a Twinlight Laser Surgery Facilitator using the Perioscope to do scaling and root planing. Due to her strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and self-discipline she has been given various responsibilities over the years such as implementing our OSHA/Infection Control Program, Radiation/Laser Safety Program, and being instrumental in coordinating our Hygiene Study Club continuing education courses. She prides herself on being kind and compassionate toward her patients. She enjoys working with her teammates by being helpful, considerate, and easygoing.

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, calisthenics, meditation, reading, music, and listening to educational podcasts. She also has four grandchildren who are the light of her life.

Erika is a Kentucky native and graduate of Western Kentucky University. Go TOPS! She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She is licensed in the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas. Her Kentucky and Tennessee hygiene licenses allow her to administer local anesthetic and nitrous oxide sedation, in addition to her other hygiene skill sets. She has practiced in general dentistry for her entire career until 2021 when she and her husband moved to the great state of Texas and joined Perio Center of Excellence. She is also a Nationally Certified Phlebotomist.

The time she has spent practicing in periodontics has challenged her to grow, positively. She has enjoyed diving deeper into the etiology, non-surgical, and surgical therapies in our patient base; using cutting edge techniques and equipment has been an utter joy for her. Fotona lasers are AMAZING! Our lasers treat periodontal disease and aid in facial esthetics — YES, we treat fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone/color. Facial Esthetics and Microneedling are quickly becoming one of her favorite specialties to practice alongside our doctors.

She will continue to sharpen her skills for the better and never become complacent professionally & personally. When she is not reminding patients to floss and waterpik, She enjoys all things outdoor adventure. She loves to travel, kayak, paddle board, and hike; all of this is done with her husband, Andrew, by her side. She is also a CrossFitter with a running habit and dog momma to Banjo Bill and Molly Mae.

Dental Hygienist

Melanie joined us in June of 2024 and has been a joy to our team and our patients. With over 21 years in dentistry, she graduated from Blinn College Dental Hygiene Program with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene and offers her elite skills as a Registered Dental Hygienist to our patients as well as our team. Prior to joining our team Melanie practiced General Dentistry for 20 years. She took off to focus on family and to navigate what her next step in her journey in Dentistry would be. Excited and eager to return to dentistry, she was impressed by the challenge of Periodontal Disease and Oral Surgery. She wanted to expand her knowledge and continue to polish her expertise in Hygiene, but most importantly how she could make an impact in her community providing thorough oral health education. She is very gentle with her patients and offers a calm and relaxing dental cleaning experience.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and as a Real Estate agent accompanying clients in finding their dream home or property.
